Roadworthiness tests: modification of time limits during the health emergency

For a light vehicle whose control expires during the period from 12 March 2020 to and including 23 June 2020:

• its period of validity shall be suspended until the end of that period. If you did not make the visit in time, you will not be punished in case of control by law enforcement;
• the technical inspection or counter-inspection must be carried out within a maximum period of three months and twelve days (i.e. 104 days) after the expiry date in order not to be penalized. Example: For a roadworthiness test that expires on June 22, 104 days are added to the due date, and the deadline is extended to October 4. Thus, the technical checks to be carried out in principle between 12 March and 23 June 2020 are to be carried out between 24 June and 5 October 2020. As roadworthiness testing centers are open throughout the country, motorists are encouraged to carry out roadworthiness tests on their vehicles as soon as possible.

For a heavy vehicle, a tolerance of 18 additional days compared to the date originally scheduled for the next roadworthiness test for heavy vehicles (Decree of 28 March 2020).
