Launched in December 2020, the France Num loan guarantee aims to facilitate the financing of the digitization of very small companies (VSEs) and small and medium-sized companies (SMEs) without sufficient means.

This scheme is being extended until 31 December 2023.

The loan guarantee is authorized by France Num (government facility for the digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises) and Bpifrance, which undertake to guarantee up to 80% of a loan with a maximum amount of €50,000. This significantly reduces the risk exposure of commercial banks that are partners in this scheme.

Which companies are affected?

The loan guarantee France Num applies to all companies of less than 50 employees, regardless of their sector of activity, established legally and fiscally in France for at least 3 years.

Loans have a amortization term of between 2 and 5 years. The cost of the guarantee is 0.70% of the loan amount.

For what digital expenses does this scheme apply?

This funding support is subject to eligibility criteria. The loan in question is intended to improve the company in one of the following fields:

• Customer relationship (marketing, customer experience, delivery)
• Business development (orientation towards new markets);
• IT security;
• Product or service innovations (significant added value to existing products and services);
• Supply chain management (modernization of logistics systems);
• Digital skills and training for company members;
• Internal company processes (recruitment ...).

This aid therefore contributes to the purchase of materials and equipment and to the expenditure for the company's digital transformation.
