In line with the provisions of the 2023 budget law, the tariff shield limits the increase in electricity prices to 15% since 1^er february 2023.

This cap avoids a 120% increase in energy bills for the VSEs concerned, which the Prime Minister says is “15% instead of 120%.”

The aid, which was introduced in 2021 and was initially targeted at households, is now extended only to TPEs (companies of less than 10 employees with a annual turnover less than € 2 million) having an electric meter of one power less than 36 kVA. She will end on december 31, 2023.

In order to obtain this support for the 2022 bills, the company only needs to get closer to its energy supplier.

Concerning the invoices 2023, the company must approach its energy supplier and transmit a certificate on the honor of eligibility. This certificate will have to be completed and transmitted no later than 30 june 2023 if the electricity supply contract was signed before 31 May 2023. For contracts signed after May 31, 2023, the certificate must be returned within one month of the effective date of the supply contract.
