The amount of the minimum base for the basic old-age contribution for self-employed workers for the year 2022 was increased in a decree of 16 November 2022.
The annual basic old-age insurance contribution due in respect of 2022 by self-employed persons and liberal professionals may not be calculated on a basis lower than €4,758 (instead of €4,731).
This amount is increasing in view of the increase in the hourly minimum wage to compensate for inflation.
Now, for 2022, the minimum annual contribution amount is €481 (instead of € 478) for liberal professionals and €845 (instead of € 840) for the rest of the self-employed.
Please note
The modulation of the basic minimum old-age pension allows self-employed workers to validate 3 quarters for retirement.
