New, more secure paper work stoppage form required as of July 2025

Since September, a new paper work stoppage notice (WTA) form has been available. Mandatory as of July 2025, this more secure form aims to fight fraud.

In 2024, the financial loss detected by the Sickness Insurance for false work stoppages amounted to more than 30 million euro (2023: 8 million euro). The sale of fake work stoppages on social networks or on the Internet is at the origin of this sharp increase.

In order to combat these practices effectively, the Sickness Insurance provides a new Cerfa form of notice of work stoppage that is difficult to falsify and more secure. This includes the following:

  • a special paper;
  • a holographic label;
  • magnetic ink;
  • Prescriber identification marks, etc.

This paper form, whose use is encouraged by the Health Insurance, is available to order on amelipro.

Its use will be mandatory as of july 2025 for any sending of a paper work stoppage notice. As a result, Cerfa work stoppage forms that can be filled out and then printed from prescription software will be rejected by health insurers as of this date. The same applies to scanning and photocopying a work stoppage.
