Extension of the period of validity of city planning authorizations

To help the housing and construction sectors, the decree of May 26, 2025 proroguing the length of city planning authorizations issued since 1er January 2021.

The Order applies to city planning authorizations valid as of May 27, 2025. The following are concerned:

  • decisions not to oppose a prior declaration of works;
  • permits:
    • to build;
    • to arrange;
    • to demolish.

Planning authorizations issued between 28 May 2022 and 28 May 2024

These authorizations shall be extended for 5 years (instead of 3).

Where the construction permit issued is equivalent to a commercial exploitation authorization, that authorization shall be extended by 2 years.

Planning authorizations issued between 1 January 2021 and 27 May 2022

The period of validity of such authorizations shall be extended byone year.

Where the construction permit issued is equivalent to a commercial exploitation authorization, that authorization shall be extended byone year.
