Admission of foreigner lawyers (non-EU) (Form)
The request for registration is sent by registered letter with request for notice of receipt or delivery against receipt to the president
Examination of the application by the National Bar Council shall be free
- Documents to be provided
- Presentation of the legal basis for the referral to the National Bar Council,
- Proof of identity, nationality, and personal and/or professional domicile in your State of origin,
- Proof of address for service in France,
- Document issued by any competent authority in your State of origin proving your status as a lawyer on the date of submission of your application,
- If you are not a national of a Member State of the European Union, of the European Economic Area or of the Swiss Confederation, any supporting document enabling an assessment to be made of whether the State or territorial unit of which you are a national grants the French the right to practice the profession of lawyer under the same conditions,
- Detailed content of the post-secondary course successfully completed and copy of the diplomas, certificates or other evidence of formal qualifications held by you,
- Selection of the regional vocational training center where you intend to take the knowledge and subject examination chosen for the legal advice test: administrative law, commercial law, labor law or criminal law,
- A copy of any academic or scientific work that may allow you to be exempted from certain tests of the examination, possibly accompanied by a personal brief in French specifying how your work may justify an exemption.
