TPE: the cap on electricity prices at €280/MWh extended in 2024!

Very small companies (TPE) will not pay not more than €280 per megawatt hour on average in 2024 based on an announcement by the Minister of Economy. This tariff applies from the January 2024 invoice.

This aid, already in place in 2023, shall cover the following companies:

  • VSEs (companies with less than 10 employees and an annual turnover or balance sheet of less than EUR 2 million);
  • small professional consumers with a subscribed power of less than 36 kVA.

You do not have to take any steps to benefit from this ceiling in 2024 if you have already benefited from this aid in 2023. The aid will be automatically applied by your electricity supplier.

If this situation changes, you must notify your supplier.

In this case, you must complete a attestation on honor indicating that you would like to benefit from the specific tariff for VSEs before sending it to your electricity supplier.

This specific tariff is applicable from the January 2024 invoice.
