TPE/SME, reduce your energy consumption with the Lower Watts program!

In the face of rising energy prices and environmental challenges, reducing energy consumption has become an important issue for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Thus, the free program Turn down the Watts aims to reduce this consumption considerably by various means.

Developed as part of the government's energy efficiency plan, the Turn down the Watts is aimed at SMEs and SMEs wishing to make their company sustainable while reducing their energy bills.

This free program, run by La Poste, is supported by the Chambers of Crafts and Crafts (CMA) and the Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CCI). It is also supported by the Environment and Energy Management Agency (Ademe).

Its aim is to support and raise awareness among SMEs and SMEs about energy consumption. The goal of the program is to achieve an energy saving of 3.7 terawatt hours (TWhc) by December 31, 2025, the end date of the program.

Means of action

In order to reduce the energy consumption of small and medium-sized enterprises, the program Lowers Watts adapts to the needs of the company and trains companies to energy sobriety.

The Energy Log Book

This Dashboard allows the company to visualize its energy consumption, adopt eco-gestures or plan investments to achieve energy savings.

For each action performed, the potential energy gain is estimated.

To have an Energy Dashboard and benefit from its features and training, it is necessary to create a user account.

Personalized support

It is also possible for the company to be accompanied by a counselor on the telephone throughout the program. This can help the company:

  • in the opening of the Energy logbook;
  • in the establishment of an action plan;
  • in identifying best practices for energy consumption.

This accompaniment by telephone takes place from Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm at 01 81 69 81 92 (free service + call price).

Training pathways

The program Turn down the Watts It also offers companies the opportunity to take training courses adapted to their structure and needs.

Such training may take the form of e-learning or face-to-face sessions.

Their aim is to improve companies’ autonomy in terms of energy consumption and to help them implement actions that will make it possible to reduce their energy bills in a sustainable way.

Who is this program for?

Turn down the Watts is aimed primarily at small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with less than 1 000 m² of surface area belonging to the private service sector - excluding industry.

In addition, 14 business sectors have been identified as priorities in the implementation of the program:

  • Cafes & restaurants (traditional, fast, take-away...);
  • Tourist accommodation (hotels, rentals...);
  • Crafts and food (bakers, butchers, pastry chefs...);
  • Small food businesses (general food, supermarkets, grocery stores, etc.);
  • Non-food businesses (household appliances, furniture, clothing...);
  • Community services (garage, treatment, laundry...);
  • Health (doctors, hospitals, medical and social housing...);
  • Teaching (primary, secondary, higher education, research & development...);
  • Sport, culture, recreation (sports facilities, art, museum...);
  • Transport (road, rail, sea, taxi...);
  • Warehouses (warehousing & storage, distance selling...);
  • Wholesale BtoB (inter-company food, goods, materials...)
  • Large food stores (supermarkets, hypermarkets...);
  • Companies of services (bank agencies, real estate, advice...).

For each sector, fact sheets summarizing the best practices to be used in energy consumption are available.

Companies belonging to other sectors or not being a VSE/SME can register on the platform but will not be able to benefit from a personalized path.

Please note

Alone companies with a postal address in mainland France can benefit from the program Turn down the Watts. Companies located in Corsica and overseas can nevertheless access the SIXTEEN programme.
