Pensions: better coverage of traineeships and studies

As a result of the developments on retirement, the acquisition of pension rights will be facilitated at 1er September 2023 for insured persons who have completed probationary and study periods.

Consideration of new internships in the validation of retirement quarters

The following will now be taken into account for the validation of quarters:

  • UTC (community service; concerned persons aged 16 to 25 between 1984 and 1990);
  • internships in the company of the bar plane ;
  • internships Young volunteers ;
  • local integration programs;
  • introductory courses to working life.

Please note

In order for these traineeships to be taken into account, their social contributions must have been paid by the State.

Acquisition of rights for periods of traineeship and study facilitated

The application for contributions in respect of a company period completed during higher education studies may now be submitted until 31 December of the 30th anniversary year of the insured person (instead of 2e year after the end of the training).

In addition, it will be possible to until 31 December of the 40th anniversary year of the insured person the purchase of higher education terms. This was previously possible until 31 December of 10e year following completion of the studies concerned.
