Revaluation of minimum retirement pensions

Upgrading of minimum pensions that took effect before 1 September 2023

At 1^er september 2023, the minimum pension for those who retired before august 31, 2023 is increased by €100 gross per month. This increase will be paid "no later than" in September 2024.

In order to benefit from this revaluation in its entirety, it is necessary to:

• have a period of insured contributions of 120 quarters or more;
• to have liquidated his pension at a full rate.

The sum of this increase and the basic pension shall not exceed one ceiling fixed at EUR 10 170,86 per year, i.e €847.57 per month. If this ceiling is exceeded, the pension increase will be reduced. This ceiling is also prorated according to the insurance period validated.

Finally, the increase shall be paid on condition that the monthly amount of personal retirement pensions awarded under one or more statutory, basic and supplementary schemes, including this increase, shall not exceed one ceiling fixed at €1,352.23 since 1^er May 2023. If this ceiling is exceeded, the increase will be reduced.

Upgrading of minimum pensions with effect from 1 September 2023

When they have contributed less than 120 quarters, pensioners of the General Social Security Old Age Insurance Scheme with a full career (43 years) and who have contributed full-time at the SMIC level receive a minimum basic pension amount, called minimum contribution.

When these pensioners have contributed for at least 120 quarters, they benefit from the increased minimum contribution.

This minimum pension increases to 1^er September 2023. It shall apply to retired employees, craftsmen and traders and farmers from that date.
