Electric leasing: end of the scheme for 2024

50,000 households will benefit from the offer of electric leasing put in place by the Government, on the basis of rental contracts signed for a minimum period of 3 years.

The device has received a large number of requests since its opening on 1^er January 2024, with a target exceeded by double the number of orders initially estimated. The first wave of vehicle order take-overs has therefore come to an end, allowing them to be delivered within a period not exceeding those currently observed on the market. A possible resumption of orders in 2025 is envisaged.

The leasing aid for an electric car is a rental with or without purchase option (LOA), without initial contribution, the monthly payments of which do not exceed €100 or €150 per month depending on the model (city/family), excluding insurance, maintenance options or accessories. Its minimum duration is 3 years, renewable once.

This rental aid is intended for so-called ‘heavy-duty’ assets: persons who drive more than 8 000 kilometers per year in the course of their professional activity with their personal car, or persons who drive more than 15 kilometers between home and work with their personal car.

The aid is also conditional on a reference level of tax income per share of up to €15 400.
