Nor can your employer ask you to buy back broken or lost equipment.

Your employer cannot ask you to pay for any kind of miscellaneous supplies.

However, in the case of gross negligence (for example, degradation voluntary committed with the intent to harm your employer), you may be fired and ordered to pay the employer damages.
