Updating the energy Checklist, a tool to accompany companies

In response to rising energy prices, the Energy Crisis Committee is updating its ‘Checklist’ providing advice and information to companies on renewing their energy contracts.

The Energy Crisis Committee, which brings together the main energy suppliers and representative interbranch organizations, has just updated its Checklist.

This educational tool is intended to enable the employer to better target the important points of an energy supply contract and to improve relations with their supplier in a context of rising energy prices. Company Available on the Ombudsman's website, this document is updated regularly.

The Checklist also lists the energy-related aid to which companies are entitled and the contacts to be contacted in case of dispute.

Content of the Checklist

This “ Checklist ” includes a total of 10 questions on 4 main themes:

The contract

1 - What are the key points to look at in your energy supply contract?

2 - How to anticipate the end of the contract and the subscription of a new offer?

3 - What if the supplier refuses to renew the contract or if no supplier offers an offer?

The prices

4 - Who can benefit from regulated sales tariffs?

5 - In the face of high price offers, what are the margins for maneuver?

6 - How to evaluate the offers of the different suppliers?

7 - What is ARENH and what is its impact on the electricity bill?

8 - Can the price of energy rise during the course of a contract when the contract has been signed at a fixed price?
