In addition to the tariff shield, the electricity shock absorber or the payment assistance window for gas and electricity bills, VSEs and SMEs can benefit from other schemes to reduce energy bills.

Limitation of the average electricity price to 280 €/MWh for TPEs

TPEs benefiting from the tariff shield and the electricity shock absorber will not pay more than €280/MWh on average of electricity in 2023. This corresponds to 230 €/MWh excluding tax and excluding the public electricity network usage rate (TURPE).

In order to benefit from this tariff, you must send your electricity supplier this certificate of eligibility.

Please note

Only VSEs that have signed an electricity supply contract for 2023 between 1 January and 31 December 2022 are eligible.

Deferral of payment of taxes and social contributions

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) can request deferrals of their taxes and social security contributions in order to relieve their cash flow. You can ask the Urssaf for a delay in paying your contributions. This request may relate to current contributions or a rescheduling of the Covid clearance plan.

Please note

This deferral does not concern VAT, ancillary taxes and the repayment of withholding tax.

Staggering of energy bills

At least until the summer of 2023, you may be offered an energy bill spread by your energy supplier. That spread over several months relates to the invoices for the first months of the year. Get closer to your energy supplier to benefit.

What to do in case of a dispute with your supplier?

In case of dispute with your energy supplier, it is possible for TYPE (companies with less than 10 employees with an annual turnover of less than EUR 2 million) to enter the national energy ombudsman. It is also possible for theset of companies to make use of Ombudsman for companies.

Please note

Both mediation services are free of charge.

Support for the departmental advisor after the crisis

Companies who encounter difficulties can also be assisted by a departmental advisor after the crisis. Its role is to offer you an adapted and operational solution (social and fiscal debt reduction, State loan...). There is a list of departmental advisers emerging from crisis.

A unique number (0806,000,245) has been set up to inform companies in financial difficulty about the aid available to them and to refer them to a departmental advisor when they emerge from the crisis.
