Increase of the minimum income per race and introduction of minimum guarantees for VTCs

Since 26 March, the minimum income for drivers of VTC platforms has now been set at €9 net per ride. In addition, they now enjoy a minimum income of €30 per hour worked.

In two decisions published on 26 March 2024 in the Official Journal, the Authority of Social Relations of Employment Platforms (ARPE) has approved the amendment concluded by the federations of VTC platforms upgrading the minimum income of VTCs as well as the agreement allowing them to obtain minimum income guarantees.

The effect of these approvals is to make these new provisions applicable to all platforms and self-employed workers in the VTC sector.

Revaluation of the minimum income of self-employed drivers

RFPA has approved the amendment to the agreement creating a minimum revenue per race in the VTC platform sector.

This additional agreement, concluded on December 19, 2024 by the federations of VTC platforms, increases the minimum income of VTC drivers due to inflation. €9 net per trip (compared to €7.65 previously).

This minimum income must be paid to the driver by the connection platform for each race, notwithstanding the duration or distance traveled during the trip.

Introduction of minimum income guarantees for self-employed drivers

In order to improve the income of VTC drivers, RFPA also approved the agreement concluded by the social partners on 19 December 2023 establishing minimum guarantees for VTC drivers using a connecting platform.

The latter now benefit from a minimum income of €30 per hour worked paid by the platform.

In addition, a price per kilometer of at least € 1 per kilometer traveled is established under this agreement.
