Except in cases of force majeure, a farmer must declare his intention to cease farming at least 3 years before his planned retirement. He must indicate whether it will become available, by sending to the Chamber of Agriculture on which he depends a declaration of intention to cease farming (DICAA) or present an equivalent document in the context of a retraining.
