The DPAE must be sent to the MSA at the earliest 8 days before the employee is hired (and before the employee is actually put to work), unless devices are used to simplify the hiring formalities for small companies.

Replaces the Single Declaration of Employment (SUE), thus the Cerfa No. 12556 is no longer in force.
