Obtain the required special transport authorization (AST) for vessels (gear, equipment or floating establishments) whose dimensions do not meet the characteristics of the waterway.
The request must be sent within 30 days before the trip, by the owner of the boat or convoy, to the prefecture on which the place of arrival of the transport depends, or to Voies navigables de France (VNF) if this is the domain entrusted to him.
