Benefit from the Reuse and Reuse Fund (RRE)

Some social and solidarity economy (SSE) structures may benefit from the re-use fund. To do so, they must respond to open procedures (e.g. calls for projects) and criteria for receiving funding. Explanation of the operation of these funds.
Operation of the Fund
The companies placing on the market (manufacture, sale, etc.) certain waste-generating products are required to to finance eco-organisms ” : they are subject to Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR).
These eco-organizations use a portion of their budgets to fund funds for reuse and reuse. These funds are intended to to contribute to the financing of the cost of re-use waste-generating products.
The funds benefit structures of thesocial and solidarity economy (SSE).
Re-use funds may for example allow these structures to :
- Get Supplied lower cost in second-hand products
- Benefit from financing for their activity
- Benefit from the support by the eco-organism the valuation of products which cannot be reused or re-used
Please note
Each call for proposals specifies how the organizations applying for it will benefit from the fund.
Sectors concerned
Re-use funds are foreseen in the following areas:
- Sports and leisure equipment, including bicycles and non-motorized transport equipment (scooters, skateboards, etc.)
- DIY and garden items
- Furnishing elements, including cushioned products for sitting or sleeping and textile decorative elements
- Electrical and electronic equipment (EEE), whether intended for use by individuals or professionals
- Toys
- Textile products for clothing, footwear or household linen intended for individuals and textile products for the house
The structures eligible for the fund re-use shall meet all of the following criteria:
- They are structures of thesocial and solidarity economy (SSE)
- They are involved in the field of prevention, of re-use and the re-use one of the categories of products for which a fund exists
- They respond to conditions and to award criteria financing fixed by the eco-organism who finances the re-employment fund

The criteria and conditions for the award of funding shall be indicated in each call for projects.
In order to benefit from the re-use fund, asocial and solidarity economy (SSE) shall:
- Match criteria and conditions fixed by the eco-body, in particular as regards the principle of proximity (maximum distance between the place where the product is deposited and the place where the operations are carried out)
- Apply for an open procedure (such as a call for proposals) by a eco-organism who finances a re-employment fund
- Sign an agreement with the eco-organism
Funding may be allocated to any structure that carries out all these steps and meets the criteria of the open procedure.
The conditions and criteria for the award of funding shall be established in a manner that transparent and non-discriminatory.
In order to know which procedures are open (calls for projects), the simplest is to contact an eco-organism in charge of the fund re-use of the sector in which the structure has a prevention, of re-use or re-use.
