Want to become an individual entrepreneur? After completing various formalities, including your domicile, you must register your company.
Company registration after certain formalities. For example:
- Formalities related to regulated activities (application for accreditation, diploma, licence...)

From 1to January 2023, it is no longer possible to make your paperwork in a company Formalities Centre (CFE). You have to make them on the website of company formalities window.

You are registered by the companies formalities office in the national register of companies (RNE: titleContent) and the register of trade and businesses (RCS: titleContent).

Other Activity
You are registered by the companies formalities office in the national register of companies (RNE: titleContent) and the register of trade and businesses (RCS: titleContent).
You have 11 or more employees
You are registered in the National company Directory (RNE: titleContent).

You must send the following documents in PDF format:
- If you did not sign your company creation declaration yourself, original power by which you authorise a third party to sign the declaration on your behalf. Copy of the identity documents of the signatory third party
- Justification of domiciliation your company with a clearly identifiable address (water or electricity or gas bill, lease agreement)
- Statement on honour of non-conviction and proof of filiation dated and signed by you
- Copy of your ID
- Copy of contract in support of the company project (Cape: titleContent)
- If carry on a regulated activity, a copy of the authorisation to pursue the activity, diploma or title
- If you're married, copy dated and signed the certificate of issuance of the information given to the spouse concerning the consequences on the common property of debts incurred in the exercise of your profession
- If you are in a cohabitation, joint life certificate or declaration on the honour of cohabitation
- If you have made a declaration of your property being out of business, true copy of the
- In case leasing, a copy of the contract and a certificate of publication in a medium authorised to receive legal notices
- In the case of warrant management, copy of the warrant management contract and certificate of publication in a medium authorised to receive legal announcements

In case of providing inaccurate or incomplete information in bad faith, you are liable to a fine of €4,500 and six months' imprisonment.

Liberal, agricultural and artistic activity
Your company registration is free.
Once your completed application has been submitted, you will receive a company Creation File Receipt (DCER) with a status of Pending Registration.
This receipt is important because it will allow you to make all necessary representations to public and private organisations. For example, you can subscribe to mandatory and supplementary insurance for the company, join a pension fund.
The receipt is valid until you receive a notification from the companies formalities office confirming the registration of your company. The maximum validity period of the receipt is 1 month.
Once you have registered, you will receive a document containing your SIREN number.
If your file is incomplete, you will receive a receipt from the company formalities office indicating the missing items to be sent. You will have 15 minutes business days from receipt of receipt to send these items.
